Use under your vets recommendation. Not
a substitute for vet care.
Critical Care is a premium
recovery food which can be given to herbivores that are unwilling
to eat their normal diet due to illness, surgery or poor
nutritional status. This specially-formulated product contains all
the essential nutrients of a complete diet as well as high-fiber
timothy hay to ensure proper gut physiology and
digestion.
Feeding Directions: If you
have never syringe fed before, be sure to get proper instruction
from your vet so you do not accidentally cause
aspiration.
Shake well before
using. Mix 1 part Critical Care with 2 parts warm water to
the desired consistency. The volume of water may be adjusted
depending on feeding method. Herbivorous mammals: Mix 3 Tbsp
per kg of body weight daily. (1 Tbsp is equal to
approximately 9 grams.) Herbivorous reptiles: Mix 1 Tbsp per
kg of body weight daily. Amounts are general
guidelines. Divide into 4 to 6 feedings unless specified by
your veterinarian. Water should be available to the animal at all
times. Prepare fresh at each feeding; discard after 24 hours. Store
in a cool, dry place.

Great for the Guinea Pig
From Mary Stephenson of Sturgeon Bay, Wisconsin on .
Helped my guinea pig gain weight. Binky Bunny sent it fast. Loved the service.
Critical Care by Oxbow
From Janet of Shasta Lake, California on .
I haven't had to use this one, but Critical Care is an exceptional product that can save a bunny if he is not eating, or is not able to. Great prices and fast shipping! Thanks Binky Bunny!!! (And love the discounts for liking the products on facebook).
Great product
From Anonymous of Alpharetta, Georgia on .
Used this product to help a bunny through a blockage after he had stopped eating. I was instructed to administer it through a large syringe, which didn't go over well with the bunny, but he ended up eating it on his own - he really like it.
Fattened up my sick bunny fast!
From Anonymous of Pendleton, Oregon on .
Two Netherland Dwarf bucks stopped eating. Couldn't get them to eat anything, even Timothy hay. Started syringe feeding Oxbow Critical care 4 times a day, by 3rd day they both started eating their hay and by the 7th day they were back on pellets. They loved this food and it put weight back on them . . .
Great price
From rhonered of Riverside , California on .
This is the best price I've seen and Critical Care has been a staple for me for over 10 years. The apple banana is kind of hard to find and I'm very pleased to have it. I've been giving a small amount to my bunnies as a treat once a month or so, so that if syringe feeding becomes necessary it might be . . .
Recommended by my Vet
From Sandra of Palm Beach Gardens, Florida on .
As I stated on the other critical care product from Oxbow my veterinarian suggested this for my bunny. She had to force feed him and this is the product she used and uses for her exotic pets. I bought two different packages to have two different products as I do not now what Roger Rabbit will like best. . . .
Endorsed by my veteranaria
From Sandra of Palm Beach Gardens, Florida on .
It is hard to review this product as it is used for my bunny when he won't eat and is force fed. My veterinarian used it to get my bunny to eat again and she told me to keep it here at my home so if he gets sick I can start this process before taking him in to be cared for. I highly recommend my vet . . .
Oxbow Critical Care
From teri of felton, California on .
I keep a bag of Critical Care in my freezer to have on hand in case of emergency. I have bunnies who develop Gastro-Intestinal Stasis every few months. Offering them Critical Care through a feeding syringe provides them with nourishment to help them through this condition. I also offer Critical Care . . .
