Litter Screen on YouTube
created this for our own bunnies many years ago, and it's still in
great shape. It saved us money on litter and kept our bunnies feet
clean, so now we've decided to share what's worked for us, with
all know rabbits like to get into their box not only to do their
"business" but to also hang out and eat hay. They will get in and
out many times throughout one 24 hour period. By doing this, the
unused litter gets mixed with the urine soaked litter, poos and hay
pieces, making it difficult to scoop the bad without wasting alot
of the good. With the screen, it allows the urine to soak
through into a nice neat confined area which is easy to scoop up,
and the poos sit on top of the screen, making them easy to
throwout, while preserving the litter
NOTE: If you use sheets of paper or
shredded paper for litter, this screen will not work well with
it. -- Needs to be an absorbent litter like compressed
pellets of paper or wood.
Plus, the fact that it is so easy to just lift the
screen and dump the poos daily makes it a cleaner place for your
bunnies to hang out in. And if your bunny is a "digger" and loves
to make a mess of his habitat, then this is the perfect
When you put hay in the box like we do, the screen makes it even
that much easier to separate it all and then just scoop out the
soaked litter spots.
The galvanized metal handles acidic aspect of urine very well, and
the tightly woven mesh screen makes it easier on bunnies sensitive
We've had the same litter box screen for over five years now and
it's going strong--and with no less than two bunnies at one time it
gets alot of action! Plus, it has held up very well against
our scrub brushes and soaking when needed.
Note: IF you have a larger bunny, a rex breed, or a
bunny that likes to hang out in the litterbox, then we advise you
to put a a little hay over the screen (as we did in the video) so
that your bunnies feet are fully

Our bunny went from a small cage where the litter fell through to tray, to a bunny condo that we built. This litter box is awesome and she loves it!! About to purchase a second one for the second level of the condo.
Box is fine, didn't like the screen
From Anonymous of S, New Jersey on 8/16/2013.
I tried using the screen for a few weeks. The first issue is that the screen doesn't fit inside the box well; it leaves gaps around the sides where the poop can still fall through. My bunny's smaller poops also got stuck in the holes so I had to push them out. He also didn't seem to like it - he still . . .
Accepted Cage Furniture
From mijook of Queens, New York on 8/16/2013.
My bun is very particular about the placement of furniture in his cage. While this litter box goes from the corner to the middle of his cage by afternoon, he happily jumps right into the box to do his business. The screen definitely saves me of a mess from his "itch to dig"

No more litter all over the place. Yay!
From Haixia Wang of Princeton Junction, New Jersey on 3/20/2013.
The litter box and screen were both great and very sturdy! The only thing is I ordered beige and the color came out to be more of a grayish color.
From Sarah M of Wellington, Florida on 3/2/2013.
My Mini-Rex wasn't impressed with the commercial corner litter pans. The binkybunny medium litter box and screen has made both our lives much happier! The box is large enough for her to enjoy her hay and make clean-up a breeze for me. Her feet stay dry and she seems happy and comfortable spending much . . .
Save the rabbit
From Anonymous of Cincinnati, Ohio on 1/23/2013.
Adopted a mini lop rabbit after finding it in our back yard. Owner did not want. Rabbit is about 5yrs. old. Rabbit started digging out everything in his litter pan like nothing we've ever seen. Rabbit was about to search for a another new home. Found this screen online. We've had it for 24 hours and . . .
From Genevieve of Seattle, Washington on 12/29/2012.
The screen makes it really easy to clean as we only have to scoop the urine-soaked litter at the bottom. Also, it prevents our bunny from eating the pelleted litter material that we use (it apparently tastes good!). This is a great product and I highly recommend it!
