Litter Screen on YouTube
We created this for our own bunnies many years ago,
and it's still in great shape. It saved us money on litter and kept
our bunnies feet clean, so now we've decided to share what's worked
for us, with you!
As we all know rabbits like to get into their box not
only to do their "business" but to also hang out and eat hay. They
will get in and out many times throughout one 24 hour period. By
doing this, the unused litter gets mixed with the urine soaked
litter, poos and hay pieces, making it difficult to scoop the bad
without wasting alot of the good. With the screen, it allows
the urine to soak through into a nice neat confined area which is
easy to scoop up, and the poos sit on top of the screen, making
them easy to throwout, while preserving the litter
NOTE: If you use sheets of paper or shredded
paper for litter, this screen will not work well with
it. -- Needs to be an absorbent litter like compressed
pellets of paper or wood.
Plus, the fact it is so easy to just lift the screen
and dump the poos daily makes it a cleaner place for your bunnies
to hang out in. And if your bunny is a "digger" and loves to make a
mess of his habitat, then this is the perfect
When you put hay in the box like we do, the screen
makes it even that much easier to separate it all and then just
scoop out the soaked litter spots.
The galvanized metal handles acidic aspect of urine
very well, and the tightly woven mesh screen makes it easier on
bunnies sensitive hocks.
We've had the same litter box screen for over five
years now and it's going strong--and with no less than two bunnies
at one time it gets alot of action! Plus, it has held up very
well against our scrub brushes and soaking when needed.
you have a larger bunny, a rex breed, or a bunny that likes to hang
out in the litterbox, then we advise you to put a a little hay over
the screen (as we did in the video) so that your bunnies feet are

Best investment ever! I have a mini lop and neatherland dwarf that share a litter box and this product has prevented my buns from digging & throwing litter out of the box! Only issues I have is that screen doesn't lay completely flat and some of the poops roll to the edges of pan not covered by the . . .

Perfect fit for the box I have for my bun. (same size as in kit) Keeps hay clear and keeps bun from digging and makin a mess. Glad I found such a usefull product and will definitely order again.

I love my bunny, but she poops like crazy as all bunnies do. And as a student buying a new bag of litter every month was getting old and hard to do. After buying this I'm able to use less litter, and save more money. It also allows my bunny to lay in her litter box (which she loves) without laying in . . .
No more mess
From Anonymous of Brunswick, Ohio on 12/31/2014.
I love, love, love this litter screen!!!!!!! My sons bunny would dig in her litter box all night and by morning she litter box was almost empty and the floor was a huge mess!!!! But since I put the litter box screen in she can't dig in her litter any more so NO MORE MESS to clean up in the mornings!!!! . . .
From Stefanie of Eden Prairie, Minnesota on 11/26/2014.
My bun was causing huge messes every day by digging up the paper and pellets in her litter box. The screen worked perfectly to stop her digging up the pellets. Cleaning is easier and I go through much less litter each day. She can still dig and push around the hay I put on top, so it's kind of a win-win . . .
Took care of the digging issue!

Works beautifully. Makes for an easier cleanup of pan too. Great idea.
From Mary Frances Lawler of New Castle, Delaware on 7/16/2014.
Very good design and fit the litter box great. My bunny, however, hasn't taken to it and prefers her old litter box. But we'll keep trying!
