This screen sits
directly on litter. It is not a raised type of screen --- please

video about the Litter Screen on YouTube
We created this for our own bunnies many years ago,
and it's still in great shape. It saved us money on litter and kept
our bunnies feet clean, so now we've decided to share what's worked
for us, with you!
As we all know rabbits like to get into their box not
only to do their "business" but to also hang out and eat hay. They
will get in and out many times throughout one 24 hour period. By
doing this, the unused litter gets mixed with the urine soaked
litter, poos and hay pieces, making it difficult to scoop the bad
without wasting alot of the good. With the screen, it allows
the urine to soak through into a nice neat confined area which is
easy to scoop up, and the poos sit on top of the screen, making
them easy to throwout, while preserving the litter
NOTE: If you use sheets of paper or shredded
paper for litter, this screen will not work well with
it. -- Needs to be an absorbent litter like compressed
pellets of paper or wood.
Plus, the fact it is so easy to just lift the screen
and dump the poos daily makes it a cleaner place for your bunnies
to hang out in. And if your bunny is a "digger" and loves to make a
mess of his habitat, then this is the perfect
When you put hay in the box like we do, the screen
makes it even that much easier to separate it all and then just
scoop out the soaked litter spots.
The galvanized metal handles acidic aspect of urine
very well, and the tightly woven mesh screen makes it easier on
bunnies sensitive hocks.
We've had the same litter box screen for over five
years now and it's going strong--and with no less than two bunnies
at one time it gets alot of action! Plus, it has held up very
well against our scrub brushes and soaking when needed.
Note: IF you have a larger bunny, a rex breed, or a
bunny that likes to hang out in the litterbox, then we advise you
to put a a little hay over the screen (as we did in the video) so
that your bunnies feet are fully protected.
When Cleaning with Vinegar: Do
not soak in vinegar mixture more than a minute at a time otherwise
over time, if you leave even galvanized screens in vinegar or
vinegar mixture for long periods, it will erode at that galvanized
I love these screens!!!!
From Anonymous of Carpentersville, Illinois on 1/28/2017.
I can not say enough good things about the litter screens! It saves me so much litter. I also like how the newest one I bought is a little heavier gage wire. It doesn't bend as much as the old ones I have. It also sets a little flatter on the litter.

No more wet and dry litter pellets, food pellets and hay all over the floor (even with a high-sided litterbox!) Not sure bunny is happy about that.
It works if you have a bun who kicks litter everywhere
From Wendy NJ of New Brunswick, New Jersey on 3/3/2016.
My bunny kicks his litter everywhere and makes a huge mess. (Just imagine soiled litter all over the cage and carpet) I have ordered two of these to put on my bun's old litter pans and they work great. Finally I don't have to spend half an hour everyday to clean his area. It is a good 30 buck that I . . .
Bunnies love it!!!
From Gloria of San Jose, California on 2/18/2016.
One of my bunnies hurt his hind leg and is now permanently disabled so I ordered the Custom size screen hoping it would be large enough for a large puppy litter pan with a low entry. This is perfect! All three bunnies spend more time together in the litter pan. Love it!!!
Makes my bunnies cleaner!!
From Mike of Dix Hills, New York on 9/25/2015.
My bunnies enjoyed kicking everything out of their litter boxes and making a class A mess. This was a great deterrent and helps to keep their cages, their feet, and my floors clean :)

excellent quality & durabilty
From Anonymous of Plano, Texas on 4/27/2015.
I ordered one of these to try it out because I couldn't quite get how this thing was really going to work. I love it! It just sits right on top of the litter. When my bunnies poop on it, I lift the screen off & dump it in the toilet. So easy! Since the bunnies usually pee in one corner of the box, it's . . .

I put down a puppy pad then this screen and have it placed by a hanging hay bag I made for my rabbits. My rabbits have had no issues and it is the easiest clean up ever. Also takes so little space in the trash than using litter. The puppy pads I buy in bulk and once it's pee soaked I toss it in the trash. . . .
