Common question: Can I feed this to my young rabbit?
We contacted Oxbow directly and their advice was that it is best to stay with Essentials Young, but they did not believe it would have a negative effect on the little one's health and well being. Just make sure you feed the pellets free choice and it would be good to supplement with loose alfalfa in addition to free choice hays.
When switching from another type/brand of pellet: Be sure to keep your old pellet so you can gradually switch. Instructions will be on the package, but just so you know, the switchover will take a few weeks.
FEEDING INSTRUCTIONS:
Adult (over 1 year)
1-4 lbs: 1/8 cup
4-8 lbs: 1/4 - 1/3 cup
8-10 lbs: 1/3 – 1/2 cup
10+ lbs: 3/4 cup
Feed in addition to unlimited grass hay.

This product is not intended for young, active, pregnant or nursing rabbits. We encourage pet owners to feed Oxbow’s Young Rabbit Food during these stages of life.
Transitioning Foods: Week One, mix ¼ new food with ¾ current food. Week Two, mix ½ new food with ½ current food. Week Three, mix ¾ new food with ¼ current food. By Week Four, you can feed Organic Bounty Adult Rabbit Food exclusively to your pet.

The Best!
This is the best organic rabbit food. I have been using this for years for my buns since almost everything else commercially grown is covered in toxic herbicides. The name and packaging has changed but this product is awesome. First hand bunny testimony: when I ran out of this one time I picked up regular Oxbow. None of my three buns would touch the regular bag. As soon as I received the Organic bag, they started eating again. What does that say?

My bunny loves this feed but I need a higher protein is I have long hair. Its good to have all natural so I just supplment with alot of greens veggies. but it is a good brand to buy I will buy again
