I don't know if this review will be accepted, as it is general to water bottles rather than specific to this particular product, but I wanted to say that we have tried water bowls with all our buns throughout a couple of decades and have found that the bottles are a better choice for them. Water even in non-tippable bowls invariably gets quickly and easily full of anything and everything that bunnies are into. Ours liked to step in the dish and splash half the contents out, toss hay or toys in it, and even throw the occasional **** in. We were constantly having to change the water and worried about our buns having dirty or no water if we had to go out for a few hours. So we tried a bottle, and they quickly became accustomed to it - and not one of them ever experienced dehydration. Plus, we found it an easy way to keep track of their water intake. With regular cleaning and refills, water bottles have always worked best for our bunnies. We always feel comfortable knowing that our buns always have/had access to clean water even when we (or the petsitter) are/were out. If your bunny eats a fair amount of greens, a water bottle will likely be a good choice for him/her.
That being said, on our vet's advice, our buns' diet includes grass hay and fresh greens but no pellets - so that may well influence the amount of water they need/needed.

do not buy for a bunny
it is impossible for a rabbit to get the hydration they need from one of these, please get a bowl too heavy to be flipped
I'm sorry your rabbit doesn't like to drink via a water bottle. Some rabbits do use a water bottle and are perfectly happy with it. As you pointed out, a heavy bowl is another great option. Each rabbit owner should use the product that works best for their rabbit.

Rabbits require unlimited access to water and a bottle like this will not be enough! Avoid buying this item!

it is surprising that this shop offers this item. this product should not be used for bunnies!!! bunnies will not get enough water from bottles and it is difficult for them to drink from

We have read positive reviews in other stores, so we have kept it in stock thinking others may be happy and are just not reviewing it. Dehydrated Buns :(
I would not recommend this product or others like it because it makes water less accessible which can cause dehydration. The buns have to lick lick lick of a few sips. This can be discouraging. These can also grow mold and are difficult to clean properly. It is cheaper, easier, and healthier to use a bowl. I use a ramekin-style ceramic bowl to prevent tipping. My bun can chug as much water as she pleases! I know everyone has the best intentions for their buns! I just wanted to share my thoughts based on my experiences and recommendations from trusted rabbit rescues and rehabilitators. Thank you for reading!
