Young rabbits need lots of fiber, as well as a good balance of protein and amino acids to keep them healthy and growing properly. Bunny Basics 15/23, which includes energy-dense alfalfa hay, was designed specifically to provide stabilized nutrients to keep young rabbits thriving. This feed also can be used to boost the nutrition of older rabbits with weight loss due to age or illness. Offer Bunny Basics 15/23 in combination with Oxbow grass hays to ensure a healthy, balanced diet for young or active rabbits.
Bunny Basics 15/23 is an alfalfa-based pellet created especially for the specific dietary needs of the young or active rabbit. Rabbits are strict herbivores and a diet high in fiber is essential for maintaining good health. Alfalfa hay is used to provide an optimized balanced protein source, containing the amino acids required for the growth and health of your rabbit.
Bunny Basics 15/23 can be fed to older rabbits having problems maintaining weight due to age or illness. When supplemented with free-choice grass hay, Bunny Basics 15/23 may also be fed to gestating or lactating rabbits.
Young bunnies have different nutritional needs than those of adult pet rabbits. Oxbow's fresh-from-the-farm Bunny Basics 15/23 fulfills those unique dietary requirements.
Always change your rabbit's food gradually to allow the digestive system time to adapt. Some rabbits are resistant to change, so time and patience are needed when switching feeds.

My baby bunny absolutely loves these pellets! They are small which is really good for her little mouth! Will definitely keep buying this!
This is the first time I have used food created especially for young bunnies. I didn't know better years ago when I had rabbits. It's very green and pellets are smaller than adult. Looks great to me. I cannot judge this on it's own merit though because I have two rabbits, one about 4 months and one about 1 1/2 years that I am unable to separate because they are buddies. I mix the adult food with the baby food. They eat it and seem content so must be good stuff. One was a stray and one a return so I have no idea what they were eating previously.
bunny loves it
Jellybean loves it,but sadly strawberry muffin does not.Let me tell u a story ,so one day I decided to get a pet rabbit and then when I got there I decided to get two.On the way home I went to the pet store and I got some toys and (alfalfa)hay, and then when I looked for the pellets I couldn't find it so I asked a worker where they were and he took me to the isle.I looked and looked and all I saw was timothy pellets so I asked the worker again "do u know where the alfalfa pellets are?" and he said they don't sell them but I know u can get them online and he recommended this brand.I couldn't find them anywhere online except here and this other random place that cost $20 for shipping! Great product !
Both my bunnies LOVE this product. In fact, they go crazy as soon as they hear me opening up the bag because they know they are about to get some of this. Good thing the ADULT food also comes in the same packaging so they continue to be excited in a few months when I have to switch them to that!
Great product.
This will be her last bag because I need to switch her to Timothy based pellets since she's almost 6 months old.
No problem transitioning from his old food. He loves it!
These are the ONLY pellets my buns will ever eat! Love Oxbow and the service Binkybunny provides! Thank y'all!
My bun goes absolutely CRAZY for these pellets! I used to give her a "gourmet" store brand (before I knew better and found these) and they always gave her gas, not these. She LOVES them!
My 5 month old "toddler" loves these pellets. It is very difficult to find alfalfa pellets in any pet stores and young rabbits need this! Binky Bunny's service and delivery is very fast and I love the other items they offer!
Smokie and I (Muffen) can't get enough of this food Our coats are shinier too.
My young 5 month old loves this young adult brand. After speaking with the Foster Volunteer at my local animal rescue league, she recommended Oxbow's brand. Once I switched his food, he started eating a lot more. He really enjoys it.
Great quality, good food. My rabbit loves it, and I know he's getting the nutrition he needs.
We haven't gotten our second rabbit yet so have not used any of this product.
OxBow is a great food for bunnies and the young rabbit formula is great for my baby bunny!
Where I live, it is very hard to find "young" bunny food. If I found it, I bought it and never even wondered about the quality. I was very glad to find the Oxbow brand on line and for young bunnies. I am very pleased with availability and service.
I did research and was told this is what I should buy my little bun. she likes it ok, so that makes me happy.
This is excellent food for a young rabbit and I can see such a difference in his digestive system already!
Oxbow, as ever, has made a quality product in these alfalfa pellets for baby bunnies. My little baby boy can't get enough!
