This mixes in with the Oat hay mom gets from Binky Bunny and I love when she does that. I love all the hay she buys.
It’s good hay. My only gripe is that I don’t like the way these tiny bales are cut. You end up with really short strands of grass and my spoiled brats don’t like dealing with short cuts lol
It's cute looking
I like how fresh it is just not how small it is
My buns loved this hay. And they are picky eaters
It's so soft and my buns are big fans!
Too many brown stalks, not enough green. No fresh smell.
Hi there! Thank you for taking the time to leave a review for our Mini Hay Bale - ORCHARD. We're sorry to hear that your experience was disappointing. At this time of the year, hay tends to have more brown stalks as it is nearing the end of the season. We apologize if it did not meet your expectations, but please keep in mind that hay is a natural product and can vary throughout the growing season. We appreciate your feedback and will take it into consideration for future batches. Thank you for choosing our product and we hope you give us another chance in the future. Hay is a wonderful resource and we want to make sure you have the best experience possible. Have a great day!
was quite surprised, but he's not eating it
A very good choice for picky bunnies, young guinea pigs, or any human that has hay allergies. The mini bale size is great for convenient storage that stays fresh for weeks. Healthy alone or mixed with other hays.
i use this to mix up with other hay and Poof loves it. I love their mini bales. The hay was soft and fresh. Will order again
This is an adorable store with many great products that you can't get elsewhere, and I love the name Binky Bunny so hate to criticize anything. This may or may not be a great product, but I have very picky fur children--4 piggies and 2 bunnies--who won't touch it. I'm annoyed with them because I try to vary their diet and toys for their benefit, but they are stubborn and not fond of change. I'm giving this product a 3 because it should not be judged solely on my little boogers. I would like to mention that it was more like a bale of sticks. I'm not sure what Orchard Grass is supposed to be like, but the Bluegrass/Orchard Grass combo I buy from another seller is soft, like grass.
Love this bale, a lot of hay packed into it. Very fresh, smells good and bunnies love it.
Miss Max will not eat any kind of Timothy Hay. So I decided to try Orchard Grass. She loves it!
I'm realllly quite happy with my first order. My bunny is so picky and usually only eats her hay later in the day unless it's the freshest and greenest hay. And this made her start chomping right away! I love it. It's so hard to find good fresh hay at my local stores. I end up comparing all of the oxbow hay from three different stores in order to find one that's remotely okay.
poor quality, dry, rabbit won't touch it.
BINKYBUNNY RESPONSE: This hay is my rabbit's personal favorite. If you received a bale that seemed of poor quality, be sure to contact us! That is not the norm.
Hi I have a very picky rabbit and I have no idea what to buy. I am Definitely buying your Blue grass mix! I don't know if I should buy oat hay My bunnies love oats! Or orchard, I don't won't to buy 3 bales only two what would you choose oat or orchard for a very picky rabbit?
Very small, for what I paid in price in shipping. I should have gone elsewhere and gotten a large box.
I adore these mini bales. They provide a nice amount of hay and consistently good quality. Much better than the boxed/bagged I used to buy around town.
While bunnies would eat these mini bales in a week (or less) I buy them to do a hay topper to the Timothy they already get. Orchard, Oat are the favorites- wonder smell and taste to get them chopping away even more than they normally would. So easy to store too!
The hay was good quality and looked fresh, but my picky bunny wasn't into it.
our bunnies love it its a winner i have noticed though the store no longer carry (stuff for them to poop and pee on)you carry the pans but not the stuff to go in it.
Roger, my bunny, got a "gift" of this hay in an order. He loved it. He thought it was a treat. I ordered it and put it in his hay basket but he wants it in his treat basket. So I had to give it a 5 start rating on Roger's behalf.
After contemplating for a while due to the price (it adds up to be more expensive with the shipping cost unless you purchase them in bulk, compared to the store bought ones), I finally decided to give it a try and ordered 2 bales of the orchard grass. When I opened the box, I saw 2 paper brown bags that looked about the same size as the 24oz packaged hay that I get from pet stores. Skeptical, I weighed the bale and it was ~44oz. I was pleasantly surprised. When I carefully opened the brown bag, I found supreme quality hay! It was fresh, green, and fragrant, not at all dusty like the other hays sold in pet stores (oxbow or kaytee or vitakraft). My bunny literally binkied around the room after she tasted some of the hay and the surprise gift! I'm so excited that I finally found a vendor that sells supreme quality hay. All my future hay orders will be made at binkybunny store :D and the staff's great!
This hay is very fresh, soft and fragrant. I keep a small basket of this right next to the other regular hay, my bunny loves to snack on this. Mmmm, this hay smells so fresh.
My rabbits get really excited when they see me feeding the hay. ( They prefer the hay over their pellets!)
Green, lush, soft, made at the right time hay.
Just the right size when you are feeding a lot of rabbits.
My Flemish Giant always goes for the orchard grass hay, as is apparent by how quickly he goes through it. It's easier on his humans' allergies, too!
While the package the Orchard Hay bale comes in is deceptively small, you'll find when you open it and cut the twine that holds it together that it's quite a nice amount of hay. The fact that it comes in a nice wrapped package allows apartment dwellers to store several without making a mess. My local feed store only sells orchard hay in huge amounts so this works great for me. Also, the hay seems to be layered so you can pull out the perfect amount of hay for one bunny. Great quality!
Wonderful quality hay! The small bale is packed very tightly, there is a large quantity of hay for the size. All four of my buns love it.
Orchard grass is my bun's 2nd favorite hay! It is softer and she usually eats it before the timothy hay. The mini bales are great because they last a long time and don't feel like I am paying a lot for a decorated plastic bag. The hay is really packed tight so you really get a lot. I buy a couple different types of hay at once and they last for a very long time!
We miss the blends that Binky used to offer, so now we make our own blend w/ Orchard & Oat. This is the BEST hay!
Our rabbits love orchard grass with a passion that is holy. I have never seen hay disappear faster. My only concern is that my vet said that timothy is the ideal staple hay for rabbits, diet wise and recommend that you only use orchard hay as a treat.
I think my rabbits were bummed out after that visit and the switch back to timothy as their primary hay.
ADDED COMMENT BY BINKYBUNNY: Orchard is very similar to Timothy in fiber and nutrition. My rabbit-savvy vets have always said Orchard is fine as daily hay. (my bunnies prefer it). I do not recommend going against vet advice, however, if any vet tells you that you Orchard should only be fed as a treat, I recommend you seek out a second opinion from a rabbit-savvy vet. Come visit our forum as well if you have further questions about Orchard or other types of grass hays.
